PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS
GASTRONOMY AND CULINARY ARTS
In this workshop, students will learn the historical development of culinary arts by recognising the concept of gastronomy. They will understand the importance of adequate and balanced nutrition. Recognise Turkish and World cuisines. Students have the opportunity to combine what they learn in theory with their creativity and put into practice.
In this workshop, the aim is to introduce students to the basic concepts of cinema and to help them gain practice about the grammar of modern cinema to help them familiarise themselves with the camera, lighting, editing, sound and acting as cinematic expression elements so that they can enrich their experience of watching films and develop different ways of interpretation.
This lesson aims to help students in being able to question themselves, looking at their own depth outside of their exterior qualities, and understand the reasons for the internal conflicts resulting from impulse, conscience and moral rules as well as the external reality.
ART INTERPRETATION and MYTHOLOGY,
This lesson will help students with understanding the historical progress of art and its connection to philosophy as well as with interpreting and making sense of myths and artworks.
In this lesson, students learn how to adapt an idea into a script and how to turn the script into a film. Students who learn how to write scripts, use cameras, make dramatic lighting, and create films in digital media have the opportunity to learn this theoretical knowledge practically with their own short films.
Design workshop aims to develop students' authentic thinking skills. This workshop includes decoupage, drawing techniques, graffiti design, fashion design etc.
Team building and development form the basis of success in life. The important thing is to express oneself in this climate by preserving one's own essence within one's own values. It is precisely at this point that Theatre-Drama studies open the doors to students so that they can realise creativity areas and different ways of thinking as part of their identities, which they have not realised before.
Learning the contemporary recording techniques and studio components theoretically, students put their knowledge into practice by the pieces they compose.
BASIC MUSIC THEORY
In this course, students learn topics such as musical scores, solfege, rhythmical articulation, rhythm, pitch, intensity, duration and resonance, and they start rhythmical articulation and solfege practices.
Students are introduced to different types of cameras, lenses and lighting equipment and they learn how to create practical exposure, framing and composition.
In this lesson, students learn how to create a larger air capacity in their body and how to maintain voice resonance as well the health and condition of their voices, and how to deliver high and clear scores.
Students learn how to use three-dimensional objects in a different form, learning the anatomy and ratio of the body, perspective, types of textures and colours in harmony and put what they learn into practice.
Students learn the pinching method, plastering method, coil building method and plate method as well as shaping and baking the clay.
Crossfit is a training program developed by Grek Glassman in the US and it aims at developing 10 basic physical features. Crossfit has been developed to work the entire body at the same time rather than focusing on a specific body part. The aim of this course is to support students' physical development as well as their spiritual development.
Fitness means "being healthy and fit". As a sports branch based on various types of exercise, fitness aims at developing students' bodies according to different body types under the supervision of an expert.
Students learn about which muscle groups work during pilates exercise, the correct posture techniques that would help them fulfil the activity as well as the proper lying-standing moves to help prevent injury, and they gain the ability to complete these activities rapidly and correctly.
COMBAT SPORTS and MARTIAL ARTS
Originated in the Far East, the basic philosophy in martial arts is to help the person control their anger and defend themselves against external elements. In this course, students are expected to learn how to control their anger and defend themselves.
Students learn the definition of yoga, basic yoga asanas, basic alignment and breathing techniques and they not only improve their spine health and flexibility but also become aware of their own limits.
Basketball is an Olympic sports branch that aims at helping students gain qualities such as team spirit, sharing, hardworking, strategy development, making a decision and taking actions as a team.
As a sports branch, spinning helps students learn the definition of spinning training, special gears to be used for spinning trainings, installation of bicycles to be used for training as well as the rhythm of music pieces used during trainings. And, students can complete the 30-minute basic level spinning training correctly and safely.
