REGISTRATION

Two different registration periods are applied at Private Şahinkaya College; early registration period and later.

Kindergarten: Candidates for the 5-6 age group are evaluated in two different stages to become a Şahinkaya student. In the first stage, the applications of candidates are reviewed upon the appointment requests. The registration status that is clarified in general terms during the parent-student interview is moved to the second stage by our Psychological Counseling and Guidance experts. Psycho-motor abilities and skills are analysed. The evaluations are shared with the parents and the registration process is completed according to the result of the desired progress report.

Primary School: The registration process of the primary school students starts with the application for candidacy and results upon the evaluations by our Psychological Counseling and Guidance experts. After the pre-assessment interviews are completed, the decision process for registration is finalised based on the interviews carried out by the Psychological Counseling and Guidance service with the 1st and 2nd-grade students applying for registration, and the gender balance of the applicants is also taken into consideration. In addition to the abovementioned procedures, Şahinkaya Entrance Examination (ŞGS) plays an important role in the 3rd and 4th-grade students.

Secondary School: 5, 6, 7 and 8th-grade students are required to complete a two-stage application for registration in order to become a Şahinkaya student. The first stage is the registration interview. In the case that parents arrive at a mutual agreement with the school administration, the student takes the Şahinkaya Entrance Examination that is appropriate for their level (5,6, 7, 8). The registration procedures are initiated for students who have acquired the grades determined for each level by the relevant academic departments.

Anatolian and Science High Schools: Students to be registered for the 9th grade must be within the 1st percentile for the Science High School, and the 10th percentile for the Anatolian High School. In the case of vacancies for upper grades in the high schools, the candidate student is registered according to the ŞGS (Şahinkaya Entrance Examination) results and the academic grade point average in their previous school.
