ŞAHİNKAYA FOREIGN LANGUAGES

Private Şahinkaya College believes that students should be educated as "Modern Individuals" and "Global Citizens" with creative-scientific thinking, who have a good command of their mother tongue as well as at least one foreign language, whose aim is to work for the good of their society, country and all humanity.

It is our main goal to teach English as a world language with increasing intensity until the end of high school and to bring students who will enter educational institutions with preparatory departments to a level that would enable them to pass the language proficiency test.

Within the framework of this objective, the English program at Private Şahinkaya College is planned and its objectives are settled in accordance with the Common European Framework. In line with these goals, we select our textbooks and provide our foreign language courses with our experienced English teachers at the highest level with our very intensive course hours (15 hours per week).

Foreign language development can be objectively measured on a global scale by means of tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, TRINITY. When it comes to foreign languages, our college is the leader in Turkey and we base this claim on the exam results of our students. Every year we prepare our children for internationally recognised Cambridge University exams to test ourselves. We allow them to take these exams at a very early age so as to provide them with experience.

We have determined our children's levels as follows; Our students are at a level to take the examination Starters in 2nd Grade, Movers in 3rd Grade, Flyers in 4th Grade, KET in 5th Grade, PET in 6th Grade and FCE in 7th Grade. Their education after taking the FCE exam in 7th grade reaches its peak level when it comes to their global academic prerequisites when they are eligible to take the TOEFL exam in 10th and 11th Grade. Throughout the year, all English teaching staff communicate with students in English.

Apart from our intensive academic program, we have a great number of activities in order to help our students learn English by feeling and experiencing.
